Cristiano Ronaldo u’sed to hide behind a hill and train alone at Manchester Un’ited so that his teammates wouldn’t see him make mis’takes.
That’s according to the clu’b’s former power development coach Mick Clegg, who desc’ribed the Portuguese player as a “genius.”
“The thing about Crist’iano when he was at United, I know that he came to use Uni’ted as an apprenticeship,” Clegg said during a new BBC docum’entary about the five time Ballon d’Or winner, tit’led “Cristiano Ronaldo: Impossible to Ignore.”
“At Carrington [United’s trai’ning ground], there was a hill at the back, just away f’rom the training ground, and he used to go behind the hi’ll and do his training on his own.
