Sadio Mane: Senegal forw’ard hints at Liverpool stay as he pro’mises ‘special’ answer over his future..!

Sadio Ma’ne says he will give a “spec’ial” ans’wer over his Liverpool fut’ure after Satur’day’s Champions League fin’al against Real Ma’drid.

Barce’lona and Bayern Munich have b’oth been linked wi’th Mane, 30, who e’nters the final year of his cont”ract in June.

How’ever, Liverpool are hopeful of retai’ning the Senegal forw’ard who has alrea’dy won the Af’rica Cup of Nations, Carabao C’up and FA Cup th’is term.

“I thi’nk the answer I can give you n’ow is I feel very good,” sai’d Mane.

“I am ful’ly focused on Saturday’s ga’me, that is the ans’wer I must give before the fin’al. But come ba’ck to me on Saturday a’nd I will give you th’e best answer you want to he’ar, for sure. It’s spe’cial. I will give you all you wa’nt to hear then.

“I lo’ve what I am doing and I sac’rifice myself all the tim’e. I am working hard every sin’gle day on the pi’tch and in the gym and I get bet’ter and bet’ter, that’s the most import’ant. I am trying m’y best to help the tea’m.”

Along’side fellow forwards Moha’med Salah and Rob’erto Firmino, who turn 30 a’nd 31 in June and Oct’ober respectively, M’ane has been integ’ral to Liverpool’s success in rec’ent years.

The trio hel’ped the club win the Cham’pions Leag’ue in 2019 and then end a 30-ye’ar wait for a top-flig’ht title in the following sea’son.

Howe’ver, all three can leave for fre’e next sum’mer, with Mane preferring not be dr’awn on his futu’re when asked what would hap’pen if Real, wh’o can start negotiating fr’om January 2023 a’s an overseas club, were to app’roach him.

“Good que’stion, but what I want to say no’w is I am fully focu’sed on the Champi’ons League and winni’ng it, which is far more imp’ortant for me an’d the Liverpool fans,” he s’aid.

“I wi’ll do everything absolutely poss’ible to win the game for Liver’pool.

“I th’ink we all forgot about what hap’pened in 2018. F’or sure Real Madrid we’re the better team th’en and deserved to win the ga’me, but it is going to be a differ’ent game.”

Ballon d’Or can’didate?

An influ’ential performance in the fi’nal would likely ele’vate Mane’s chances of win’ning the Bal’lon d’Or, given he was also cen’tral to Senegal’s suc’cess in February.

He is hop’ing to become only the sec’ond Africa’n after George Weah in 1995 to ‘win the award, alth’ough Salah will also provide compet’ition.

“It’s true. If you gu’ys say it, what ‘can I say myself? Whi’ch is sad,” added Ma’ne on the lack of African win’ners.

“This cup, the Afri’ca Cup of Nations is on’e of the big’gest for myself, it is the bigge’st trophy I have w’on in my life, and for an Afric’an player not to ha’ve won the Ballon d’Or since Geo’rge Weah it is s’ad for sure.

“Winni’ng the Champions League is spe’cial. I have a ch’ance to play it again an’d we will do everyth’ing we can to win it and the’n we will see what hap’pens, with the Ball’on d’Or.”
