Cristiano Ronaldo 50 Legendary Goals Impossible To Forget -HD
Brazilian football gr’eat Pele has described Cristiano Ronaldo as the world’s be’st contemporary footballer, rating the Juventus forw’ard ahead of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
But the 79-year-old believes nei’ther Ronaldo nor Messi are as good as he was during a cele’brated career with Santos, the New York Cosmos and Bra’zil, reports Xinhua news agency.
“Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is th’e best, because he is the most consistent over the pas’t 10 years, although Messi should not be forgotten,” Pel’e said in an interview on the Pilhado YouTube cha’nnel.
The former Brazil No. 10 also cit’ed Zico, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Franz Becke’nbauer and Johan Cruyff in his list of all-time favourite pl’ayers. He did not mention former Argentina for’ward Diego Maradona, widely regarded as Pele’s only ri’val for the title of the greatest player in hi’story.
“There is only one king. P’ele was better than all of them,” he said. “If I have t’o be honest, well, I’m telling you the truth: my fat’her and mother closed the factory. There will on’ly ever be one Pele.”
